INDOOR PICNIC

Put on those jeans, wash your hair and get ready for the day! Grab a blanket, food and wine and set the tone!

Top Notch Picnic with Stone Barns: Dan Barber, the chef and an owner of Blue Hill in Manhattan, and Blue Hill at Stone Barns in Westchester County, is assembling market boxes for pickup. The boxes are centered around a rich broth, and the ingredients will change every day. Boxes may include raw and fermented vegetables, whole grains, local meats, and pastured eggs from Stone Barns. A freshly milled flatbread will be available as well.

Keep it SIMPLE with a traditional at home picnic:

  • Crackers + cheese - shop local if you can

  • Sandwiches (can be easy by picking up ready made sandwitches)

  • Fruit (berries or larger fruit cut into bite size pieces)

  • Dessert (did you know, you can order Girl Scout Cookies online?!)

  • Bonus: Set the mood with your favorite Pandora station.

  • Don't forget that wine! We are loving the Organic and Clean Crafted wines from Scout & Cellar.

GAME NIGHT

Who doesn't love a game night - while the tradition has been put aside in the recent years it is time to find all those lost pieces and get to playing! Don't have board games no problem - we have the internet with tons of great options where you can even gather all your friends and play a virtual game night.

  • Use HouseParty to connect with friends and family and play games like Trivia, Quick Draw (similar to Pictionary) and Heads Up! You can use houseparty on Chrome, iOS or Android.

  • Zoom or Facetime your friends and have everyone use this site to play "Remote Insensitivity" (similar to Cards Against Humanity)

  • Don't forget Sporcle, the online trivia platform - such fun.

  • Plenty of classic games have apps or online versions to play with friends including Clue, UNO + Monopoly, for those of us who are physically distant from our friends and families, but still want to get into an argument about who owns Atlantic Avenue.

DINNER + A MOVIE

OK so maybe you've already done this one (like, every day of quarantine….?) but have you had dinner and a movie with your closest friends?

  • Watch a movie with friends near and far using the new Netflix Partyextension!

  • Choose the movie as a group — have each friend choose two options, throw them in a hat and pull one out.

  • Plan what you're going to eat with your friends in advance, or have one friend take the lead by being your very own Bobby Flay by teaching the group the recipe live over Zoom that night. Better yet, order take-out and support local.

  • Have a gourmet popcorn barn, have fun toppings like, truffle, coconut, curry, ranch, chocolate & cinnamon and sugar.
